Brenda,
Jenna Bush Hagar is a writer that pulls you into her family and you will love them all! Politics aside, it is a great look at growing up spending time with her grandparents and she shares the influence they had on her life。 I love that she sees things now as an adult and a mother and can better understand and appreciate her grandparents, parents, twin sister, co-workers and even her husband and children。 A very sweet book。 If you loved this book, read her book Sisters First!
Sarah Blizzard,
Sweet recollections of the patriarchs and matriarchs of her family, and I appreciated how Jenna paid tribute to them in a variety of ways。

Melinda Weisbarth,
Loved this book and her memories with her grandparents。
Donna Seabury,
I am a huge fan of Jenna Bush Hager。 She seems so down to earth and humble。 I listened to the audiobook which is read/narrated by Ms Hager and found her storytelling warm and loving。 Her memories are beautifully recounted。 It’s comforting to hear how much she loved her grandparents and how she’s passing down all she’s learned from them to her own children。
Lisa,
A heartwarming collection of letters and thoughts from a mom with young children going through life’s daily grind。 Many of the stories resonated with my own experiences。 I found myself laughing and some points and tearing up at others。
Kristen,
I listened and read thru tears。 Having just lost my 93 year old grandpa, many of Jenna’s words resonated so deeply within me。 I appreciate her ability to humanize a family with such a public presence and to bring to mind all the lovely things I love about my own family。 She did a great job of alternating especially poignant stories with ones that made me laugh out loud。 Not political at all…just a story about the love of a granddaughter for her grandparents both public and private。 ♥️
Violet (Betty),
Pleasant read。 I would have enjoyed reading vs an audiobook。
Gay Craig,
I listened to this on on Audible with the author Jenna Bush Hager reading。 Such precious heart-felt memories and stories of growing up with all her grandparents。 Loved learning the impact and influence that those important people had on Jenna’s life and of her struggles during her season of loss。 I especially enjoyed all the stories of multi-generation family get-togethers and the reminder of the crucial role that family plays in our lives。
Brandyn,
May not be the best writing I’ve ever read, but I love the inside stories of the Bush family。 I found myself thinking of my own family many times as I listened with a tear in my eye。
Cmswright,
Admire the family。 Really enjoyed the family stories, but didn't really care for the writing。 I had to push myself through it。 I will say that it got better as I got farther into the book。 It was a good book for a vacation read though。 Admire the family。 Really enjoyed the family stories, but didn't really care for the writing。 I had to push myself through it。 I will say that it got better as I got farther into the book。 It was a good book for a vacation read though。 。。。more

4。5 ⭐️ - thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook version of this book。 I’m not a huge Jenna fan, but this came recommended from a well read acquaintance。 I’m so glad I took her advice - a series of essays - I came to really appreciate Jenna and her point of view, work ethic, family history, etc。 It left me feeling positive and grateful。
Rachel,
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would。 It is a casual, emotional, and diverse mix of essays and letters about her relationships with her family。 Her inclusions about dealing with grief are raw but wonderfully explain the roller coaster of it and how there is not one accepted way to grieve。 It’s a good reminder that everyone is human and loved by someone even if you don’t agree with their politics。Her struggles to be accepted as a working mom, to solidify her identity and personal values as di Enjoyed this more than I thought I would。 It is a casual, emotional, and diverse mix of essays and letters about her relationships with her family。 Her inclusions about dealing with grief are raw but wonderfully explain the roller coaster of it and how there is not one accepted way to grieve。 It’s a good reminder that everyone is human and loved by someone even if you don’t agree with their politics。Her struggles to be accepted as a working mom, to solidify her identity and personal values as different than her parents, and her overarching love of her sister all make this a joy to read。 。。。more
Cindy Stamps,
Such a beautifully written glimpse into the lives of Jenna Bush Hager’s family。 Jenna reflects on the year in which she and her family lost three significant family members。 There are so many memories of love and laughter shared throughout the pages of this book。 My eyes often filled with tears as the memories shared here caused me to reflect on my own family’s memories。
Darleen,
Love hard lose hard… beautiful story of family。
Brenda,
The pages of this book are infused with love。 Jenna gives us a look into her life with her family members, famous and not so famous, but equally loved and loving。 Very poignant yet uplifting。 Makes you take pause and reflect on the lives and love of your own family members。
Tomi Alger,
Jenna shares personal stories and letters about her two sets of grandparents, George and Barbara Bush and Jenna and Harold Welch。 There was humor and sadness, joy and regret。 Jenna and her twin sister Barbara got lots of opportunities to spend time with the grandparents, except that Harold who died earlier than the others, who all passed within one year of each other (2018, I think) It is a fun and inspiring book。
Elizabeth Sullivan,
Quick read, enjoyed listening to the stories
Jessica Gronau,
Jenna Bush Hager lost 3 grandparents in the course of a year。 In this book she tells stories of them and lessons she has learned。 From traveling to Maine and becoming a mom herself there are a lot of different stories and letters written to and from her grandparents。I enjoyed reading her stories and learning more about the Bush family。I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway。
Alicia Bertoli,

Beth Orr,
I listened to it on CDs in my car and it would have been better to have read it because Jenna Bush Hagar’s voice grated on me especially when she emphasized things which she did most of the time。 Her over-emphasis was nerve shredding。 I also know something about her that I could have done fine not knowing: that Jenna easily and very often cries。 She lets you know each and every time and I really got sick of hearing about all the tears。 I think she’s over-dramatic。 All these things detracted from I listened to it on CDs in my car and it would have been better to have read it because Jenna Bush Hagar’s voice grated on me especially when she emphasized things which she did most of the time。 Her over-emphasis was nerve shredding。 I also know something about her that I could have done fine not knowing: that Jenna easily and very often cries。 She lets you know each and every time and I really got sick of hearing about all the tears。 I think she’s over-dramatic。 All these things detracted from the stories of her two sets of grandparents, both wonderful in their own ways。 Lots of good points about the grandparents were shared along with plenty of wisdom。 However I’m not a Jenna Bush Hagar fan。 。。。more
Alyson,
Jenna Bush Hager is one of my favorite authors, and I particularly enjoy listening to her audiobooks。 She loves life - and her family - big, and this sentiment is clearly evident in her book, “Everything Beautiful in Its Time: Seasons of Love and Loss。” Through a series of personal letters and reflections, she invites the reader to learn more about those she cherishes most, specifically her grandparents - the presidential Bushes and the humble, Texan Welches。 Simply wonderful!
Lizzy,
A sweet, heartfelt read right when I needed one。 Jenna’s reflections on love, faith and family were a good reminder of what’s most important in this life。 It also portrayed her presidential family in a new light, reminding readers that we are all just humans doing our best。
Brenda Johnson Henson,
Very enjoyable read filled with sentimental letters。 If you aren’t someone who enjoys the lives of others whether well known or in general this isn’t the book for you。 If however you enjoy real life stories and letters this is the book for you。 Letter writing is a lost art。 I treasure the letters I’ve received over my lifetime and especially those from family members and close friends。
KelBelTX,
A wonderful memoir about her family and grandparents。 It was tender and sweet。 I liked that the chapters/stories were short and written beautifully。 You can feel the love and truly deep connection Jenna had (and still has!) with her grandparents。 Every child should have love like this from childhood to adulthood。 The book has inspired me to get out and live and surround yourself with family and the people you love most。 Life is short, love boldly!
Karen,
Touching family memories❤️ I listened to the audiobook beautifully read by the author。

The book Everything Beautiful in It's Time: Seasons of Love and Loss takes a look into what it was like for the Bush daughters to grow up with famous parents。 It takes a very raw and honest approach to loss and love。 It was also nice to see Jenna Bush Hager mention and discuss what it was like to have both very known grandparents, and grandparents who lived a very simple life outside of the public eye。 You feel the deep love and angus that she went through loosing her grandparents all around the The book Everything Beautiful in It's Time: Seasons of Love and Loss takes a look into what it was like for the Bush daughters to grow up with famous parents。 It takes a very raw and honest approach to loss and love。 It was also nice to see Jenna Bush Hager mention and discuss what it was like to have both very known grandparents, and grandparents who lived a very simple life outside of the public eye。 You feel the deep love and angus that she went through loosing her grandparents all around the same time。 Great book to help address loss and life。 。。。more

Everything beautiful in it's time by Jenna Bush HagerLike the stories that go along with the status of being a celebrity because your relatives are presidents。The touching warm moments that happen to a regular person also hit home as the same things matter to us regular people and we trasure what we have。Life is a lot different but the same。。。 I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device)。 Everything beautiful in it's time by Jenna Bush HagerLike the stories that go along with the status of being a celebrity because your relatives are presidents。The touching warm moments that happen to a regular person also hit home as the same things matter to us regular people and we trasure what we have。Life is a lot different but the same。。。 I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device)。 。。。more
